The Pro Day is an opportunity for NFL scouts and executives to get another in-person evaluation of prospects at their respective college’s before April’s NFL Draft. UTC student-athletes, such as Mocs’ quarterback Nick Tiano, will be able to put their hard work on display for dozens of NFL personnel.
Last year, the event was held at Chattanooga’s Baylor School due to flooding at Scrappy Moore Field, UTC’s football practice complex. In year’s past, D1, a sports training facility in Chattanooga, has hosted the event. No official venue has been announced for the event.
Former Chattanooga student-athlete Isaiah Mack took full advantage of this event last season. His 4.94 40-yard dash and 32.5-inch vertical opened the eyes of NFL scouts and ultimately resulted in Mack landing a roster spot with the home-state Tennessee Titans.
