Nick is a longtime radio veteran of 28 years having started working in radio in 1981 at a small station in Mount Holly New Jersey. From those humble roots, Nick has had a long and exciting Sports Radio Career.
Nick has worked in Philadelphia, as a regular on the Philadelphia Sports beat covering the Phillies, Eagles, Sixers and Flyers on a daily basis for several stations. Nick had one of the first daily Sports Talk radio shows in the Trenton, NJ markets when he went on the air with “Sports Night at the Round Table” in 1986. In the 90’s Nick was the Play by Play voice for Rider University basketball which led to him landing spots with some of the biggest names in the county like Don Imus, Jim Lampley, ESPN, Pat O’Brien and every major news station in New York and Philadelphia. Nick also handled play by play at two NCAA Basketball Tournaments, the College Baseball World Series Regional’s as well as College Football in NJ.
Being named Afternoon Host and Program Director at 105.1 ESPN in Chattanooga is not the first time Nick has served in the PD role. Nick has served as General Manager, Program Director and Sports Director for three different stations during his long career. Nick is also very excited about his latest venture with News Channel 12. Nick is taking his unique style to TV with a daily segment on News Channel 12 at 6 p.m. called “In The Zone”.
Nick’s on air style is an exciting mix of personality and sports knowledge that he has acquired after many years of working in Radio Sports. Nick say’s “Sports should be fun. It is something that we can talk passionately about, laugh about, and cry about but it’s not brain surgery so let’s just have fun and let it fly! There is no right or wrong in sports talk opinion only another fun and heated discussion. I love passion and love listeners who share that same love.
